Paint splattered chair
Redoing a plain cotton upholstery fabric needs nothing more than a household disinfectant and water. Take the fabric outside. Wear glasses, old clothes and gloves to protect yourself from the paint that you’re just about to splash. Mix bleach and water. Use a plastic brush to splash the liquid all over the fabric. When you're done making the pattern, let it dry, then wash the fabric and let it dry again. Take it to a local upholsterer and get it stitched around your cushion chair.
Paintbrush vase
Paintbrushes are creative things even after it’s not in use. With the help of this lovely idea, you can make your very own vase with paintbrushes. Just space two rows of plain rubber bands around a tall, cylindrical vase, then tuck brushes inside the bands. Slowly it will surround the vessel and take its shape. When you’re done, put the vase aside slowly and you will see the paintbrushes taking the form of the beautiful vase.
Gadget Case
The next time you go online electronic shopping, don’t bother to buy a case for small gadgets. This idea will help you create safety cushions for many of your little technology friends. Transform a simple traditional necktie into a gadget case. First, cut out the narrow part of the tie. Then rip off the seam along the back of the tie to create a pouch for the gadget. Fold the tie just where the inside of the open seam ends and stitch it there. Secure the ends of the tie by stitching again.
Scarf watchband
one is a very interesting idea. If you have an old watch, then remove the straps of this watch. Then weave your scarf through the watch's lugs. Tie the watch around your wrist and then wrap the extra scarf around your wrist while still keeping the dial visible. Time to head out and make a fashion statement.
Jar lotion dispenser
Have many jars lying around? Use them as soap or lotion dispenser in your bathroom or basin. Remove the cap of the jar. At a local hardware store you will find a lid of a lotion dispenser. There are many colors, sizes and variety of these available. Just make sure it’s of the size same as your jar. If the jar lid is too small then you can check if a little cutting of the top half of the jar would work or not. Close the jar with this new lotion dispenser lid and you are good to go with a new jar lotion dispenser. Sure to take your visitors by surprise.
Jewelry magnets
Your mom should surely have many a brooches with her. Get them all out and remove the needle of the brooches. Then attach a super strong magnet to it with the help of a super glue. Let it dry. Put it up on your fridge as a fridge magnet next morning. Your fridge will be more colorful on the outside now.
Crocheted tea towels
You would have many dresses with lace. Don’t throw this lace away with the dresses next time. Instead, stitch the lace to the edges of any old piece of cloth and together they would make an interesting combination. You can also use it for hand towels, dish towels, table covers, etc. They make for great embellishments.
Paper vases
Cut out the pages of an old book. Now draw an outline of a vase on each of them and cut it along. Choose a centre for the vase and stick all the pages together while keeping half an inch’s space between each page. Hold it up straight to watch a three dimensional vase. Choose a strong base and stick this vase to it.
